Acne & Pre-Cancer Therapy
![]() Make yourself perfectly clear. Ask for the CoolTouch®
Acne Solution.
How does CoolTouch® work?
Unlike other therapies
that address bacterial symptoms only, CoolTouch® targets the source of acne. The energy penetrates deep enough to shrink
oil glands and decrease their capacity to produce acne.
How long does a treatment take?
Treatments take
10 – 30 minutes, depending on the area to be treated and the severity of the condition.
What improvement will you see?
You will notice
significant reduction of acne and improved appearance of acne scars. Results are achieved through a series of treatments.
How many treatments will you need?
Typically, it takes
more than one treatment to achieve the optimum level of improvement. On average, patients receive 3 – 6 treatments at
monthly intervals.

![]() Is there a new way to control moderate acne?
Your case of moderate
acne may not be responding to medications or other conventional treatments. Maybe it’s time to consider something new.
What’s the Blue Light Treatment? How does it work?
There is now a new
treatment available that doesn’t depend on medication. The BLU-U® is a very special blue light that can kill
acnes bacteria in your skin. Treatments are simple – usually a 15-minute session about once or twice, per week. After
some weeks, the blue light can control your acne, or clear it up for a very long period.
Actinic Keratoses
What are actinic keratoses?
Actinic keratoses
(AKs) are rough scaly patches of the skin, caused by excessive exposure to the sun that can sometimes progress into dangerous
skin cancers. Doctors estimate that the second leading cause of skin cancer deaths in the United States, begin as AKs. AKs
sometimes can become larger and thicker. Patients may notice increased redness, tenderness, itching, and burning.
Is there anything I can do to prevent AKs in the future?
Long-term exposure
to the sun is the single most significant cause of AKs, so the best defense against them is a comprehensive sun protection
program.
What is the Levulan PDT® System?
The Levulan®
PDT system is an advanced 2-step treatment for minimally to moderately thick AKs of the face or scalp.
How effective is it?
The Levulan®
PDT system has been proven effective in clinical testing. Eight weeks after treatment, it had cleared 100% or AKs in about
2/3 patients.
Are there any precautions I should take during the treatment?
Sunscreens will
not protect these treated areas. Stay out of the sunlight or bright indoor light, and wear light-protecting clothing such
as a wide-brimmed hat.
